23Feb 2024Institute of Hospitality, Management & Sciences (IHMS, Kotdwar), in partnership with AIIMS Rishikesh and the Road Transport Department, orchestrated a comprehensive First Responder Training Program across 13 districts. Dr. Madhur Uniyal outlined plans to train 50 first responder trainers in each district, aiming to enhance trauma patient care and reduce mortality rates.
The third phase training workshop, held at AIIMS Rishikesh, emphasized critical skills for accident victim care, including CPR, log rolling, and managing medical emergencies. Teachers Vijayashree and PRO Naresh Thapliyal advocated for integrating this course into the academic curriculum.
Course coordinators Mahesh Gajanan Devsthale, Akhilesh Uniyal, and others, along with enthusiastic student participation, underscore IHMS Kotdwar’s commitment to education and community service.
