The programme runs over four semesters. The first year covers the core of management; the year ends with a two-month summer internship. Who can apply for MBA?
- Graduation (10+2+3) in any discipline from a recognised university with at least 50% marks – 45% for reserved categories, as per AICTE.
- Final-year graduation students can apply; admission is confirmed on passing.
- No work experience is required.
- Admission through the IHMS Entrance Test or CUET score, followed by counselling.

Scholarship is calculated on the first-semester tuition fee and adjusted across every semester. Only one scholarship applies per student, and the scheme agreed at admission stays the same for the whole programme.

What is the MBA fee at IHMS Kotdwar?
The total programme fee is ₹2,60,000 for two years. The first semester is ₹80,000 (₹60,000 tuition plus one-time registration, uniform, library, sports and refundable security charges) and each of the next three semesters is ₹60,000. University exam fees are paid separately.
Is the IHMS MBA approved by AICTE?
Yes. The MBA is approved by AICTE (Ministry of Education, Government of India) and affiliated to Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University. IHMS is also NAAC accredited and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
What is the eligibility for MBA admission?

Which MBA specialisations are offered?
Marketing Management, Finance Management and Human Resource Management. You can take a major and a minor specialisation in the second year.
Do I need work experience for the MBA?
No. Freshers can apply directly after graduation. Prior experience is welcome but not required.
Are scholarships available for MBA students?
Yes. Merit scholarships range from 20% to 50% based on your qualifying marks, and there are category, defence and referral scholarships of 20–25%. Only one scholarship applies per student.
Is there an internship in the MBA?
Yes. A two-month summer internship follows the second semester and is assessed through a project report and viva in Semester III.
What placement support do MBA students get?
The placement cell runs CV building, aptitude and soft-skills training, mock interviews and campus drives. IHMS MBA students have been selected by recruiters such as Webologix at ₹14.16 LPA.
Is hostel accommodation available?
Yes, hostel accommodation is available at ₹50,000 per semester, and college transport is available from ₹1,500 per month.
Can I pay the MBA fee in instalments?
Fees are paid semester-wise before each semester begins. Our admissions team can also guide you on education loans.
