Which programmes does IHMS Kotdwar offer?
MBA and MCA (postgraduate); BBA, BCA, B.Sc IT and BHM (undergraduate); and the one-year Certificate in Hotel Management (CHM).
Which programme can I take after Class 12?
BBA (business), BCA or B.Sc IT (computers) and BHM (hotel management). The one-year CHM is open after Class 10.
Which programmes are approved by AICTE?
The MBA and MCA are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University.
Are scholarships available?
Yes – merit scholarships of 20–50% on tuition, and category, defence and referral scholarships of 20–25%.
How long are the programmes?
MBA and MCA: 2 years; BBA, BCA and B.Sc IT: 3 years; BHM: 4 years; CHM: 1 year.
What are the fees?
Total programme fees: MBA ₹2,60,000; MCA ₹2,60,000; BBA ₹2,60,000; BCA ₹2,72,000; B.Sc IT ₹2,72,000; BHM ₹3,98,000; CHM ₹75,000. Fees are paid semester-wise; university fees, hostel and transport are extra.
What is the eligibility for each programme?
MBA – Graduation with 50%; MCA – BCA / B.Sc / graduation with Maths; BBA – Class 12 pass, any stream; BCA – Class 12 pass; B.Sc IT – Class 12 pass; BHM – Class 12 pass, any stream; CHM – Class 10 pass.
Is there an entrance test?
Admission is based on merit, the IHMS Entrance Test or a CUET score; CHM admission is through a personal interview.
Do students get placement support?
Yes. The placement cell trains students in aptitude, communication and interviews, arranges internships and runs campus drives. The highest package in 2026 was ₹14.16 LPA (Webologix), and IHMS works with 300+ recruiters.
Is hostel and transport available?
Yes. The hostel costs ₹50,000 per semester, and college transport is available at ₹1,500 per month, ₹7,000 for six months or ₹12,000 per year.
